earthquake in NZ.

MAJOR earthquake (magnitude 7.1) hit Christchurch this morning at 4.35am.
I was sleeping, and woke up wondering why my bed was shaking and it sounded quite noisy outside.
but because I was so tired, I actually went back to sleep.
got woken up by my flatmate a bit later saying that there was an earthquake!

it's been a mixed-up day.
time to get some rest now (hopefully)...
still feeling lots of aftershocks constantly, ranging from 3.7-5.4.
the BIG aftershock expected within 48 hours of the quake (magnitude of 1 less than original) has yet to occur.
power and water available for now.

praying all will continue to be well...
