2 weeks later...?

nothing much has changed, or has it? half a month ago, I left S'pore...leaving behind my family and friends and the life I was born into in my home country, to a life I created in NZ. it's something I think I'm really privileged to have a chance to experience. it's definitely not something that everyone gets to go through, living a brand new life in a brand new place, making new friends, not having family around, being independent. like a bird released from its cage, the sudden freedom is exhilirating. it was anyway, when I first came. now...it's more like, this is my real life, being back in S'pore is my "holiday". hmm...

anyway. I did something really silly yesterday. went to Unipol last night with the flat 6 pple, and while playing badminton, I don't know what I did but I must have turned too fast and in the wrong direction, I sort of injured my left foot. it's like...what the?!? I'm so careless...and it's not sprained, cos it's not the ankle, but the middle of the foot hurts and I can't walk properly now. it's annoying...=S and I'm still wearing shoes today cos I need the support. or else I'll just collapse. man...what a thing to do...so much for wanting to exercise everyday...argh.

let's see what else. erm...I did try going to SJS a few times to look for jobs, but most of the jobs are full-time ones that go on throughout the year. which doesn't really suit me cos I don't even have the time or energy to finish my revision for tests and stuff, much less work. grr. just signed up for another 2 psych experiments for next week, so at least that's something. and yesterday got a referral for a one-off job at Carisbrook for a hospitality worker. BUT that requires a CV. and at the moment I'm supposed to be doing my CV. supposed to be. well. hmm...

I wonder what I'm going to do over the rest of the summer now that I'm not really into getting a job. bum around? watch DVDs? well...it's almost over already. less than another month and I'll be back at school. and soon, everybody's gonna be back. hmm...

back to classes.
back to lectures.
back to tutorials.
back to seeing friends.
back to doing computer tests.

but I'm really looking forward to seeing you around the premises.

anyways. I should go get my CV done. at least make a bit of my summer worth something.

Love Is Waiting
Brooke Fraser

In the autumn on the ground
Between the traffic and the ordinary sounds
I am thinking signs and seasons
While a north wind blows through

I watch as lovers pass me by
Walking stories, whos and hows and whys
Musing lazily on love
Pondering you

I'll give it time, give it space
And be still for a spell
When it's time to walk that way
We wanna walk it well

[Chorus]
I'll be waitin' for you baby
I'll be holdin' back the darkest night
Love is waitin' 'till we're ready
'Till it's right
Love is waiting

It's my caution not the cold
There's no other hand that I would rather hold
The climate changes
I'm singing for strangers about you

Don't keep time, slow the pace
Honey hold on if you can
The bets are getting surer
Now that you're my man

I'll be waitin' for you baby
I'll be holdin' back the darkest night
Love is waitin' 'till we're ready
'Till it's right

I could write a million songs about the way you say my name
I could live a lifetime with you and then do it all again
And like I can't force the sun to rise or hasten summer's start
Neither should I rush my way into your heart

I'll be waitin' for you baby
I'll be holdin' back the darkest night
Love is waitin' 'till we're ready
'Till it's right

I'll be waitin' for you baby
I'll be holdin' back the darkest night
Love is waiting 'till we're ready
'Till it's right
Love is waiting

and I'm waiting... =)
