saying goodbye.

it's NOT easy. even though I've only been back for less than 2 months, it's almost as though I didn't leave. well, haven't been in contact with friends and stuff, but now that most of my girl-friends are in university, and the guys are serving their National Service, it's not that hard to "blend in" again. hmm...I didn't really manage to meet up with everyone this time around, but met most during the first week of the new year...

speaking of which. it was an AWESOME start to 2007. I really enjoyed those few days...thanks to everyone who made it possible! everyday was an outing day...and I finally decided to sleep in, stay in on Friday. heh. slacking around, being lazy. wahaha. online the whole day instead.

31st Dec - 1st Jan: countdown @ playground!

well, it took a while to organise a little 'party' which turned out quite alright I guess. considering it was quite a last minute thing. but we had fun. =) I love my friends from my CG...

our wonderful masterpiece...

guess what? haha...you know we actually made the whole playground SO SMOKEY it was not funny?!? haha...but in the midst of that it was really exciting. =) so much so that we forgot to countdown. hahaha...and after we played a while with the remaining sparklers we called some of our other friends who weren't there. just for fun...heh. we managed to catch the LAST TRAIN home. haha. extended till 1am plus. then another bus which didn't really go to the bus stop outside my house but my sis and I still took it. in case there weren't any buses left! *phew* got back home at 1 plus almost 2am.

1st Jan: East Coast Park!

the next day, went with my TJ class for an outing at ECP. it ended up that 10 of us cycled all the way to the end of ECP and then on to Changi Village! and considering that I actually cycled from home to ECP, which is quite a distance away...I was like. *jaw drop* haha...

we made it after...almost 2 hours? I had to leave early though, so yeah. had a drink...everyone of us was so thirsty. heh. and then I speed-cycled all the way from Changi Village back to ECP, then to the other end of ECP, then waited for my dad and we cycled home. I had such a sore bum and sore hands after all that cycling! =X was complaining the whole way back...heh. no way am I going to cycle that much again! or maybe I am. haha...who knows. 30-40km...is very FAR... but THANK YOU GUYS for making this outing a fun one!

1st Jan: ex PL-lites @ Lavi's place...

so I arrived late at the BBQ at Lavi's place. =S it was good seeing pple I hadn't seen in ages eh. the interesting thing is that, I can actually talk to pple I didn't converse much with while still in sec sch. and have quite a long conversation at that. hmm...and there's going to be quite a few more pple going over to study in Aussie this year. wow...

2nd Jan: street soccer at Toa Payoh!

nothing more needs to be said. my beloved CG and some of us randomly wanting to play soccer (me) which ended up in an exciting soccer session. haha...we kicked the ball out onto the road a couple of times. so dangerous!!! but it's outings like this that makes the difference. it's where pple can bond, outside church activities and cell group meetings. we're just like any other group of friends, bonding together cos we share something in common...well. THANK YOU GUYS!

3rd Jan: Sentosa with NZ mates...

it was quite a last minute outing but I was free so I went along. realise I'm the only girl there? (ok I know I'm not in the photo but you get what I mean!) we had fun...went to the beach to play volleyball, which ended up in a game of soccer cos I think we were quite bad at volleyball. heh. OH. I ended up injuring my toes cos we played barefoot. *no comments*

3rd Jan: overlooking Sentosa...

at Sentosa too, we went up to the Skytower, this revolving thing that goes up to really high and overlooks Sentosa, S'pore and you can see a part of Malaysia and Indonesia in the distance. well...it wasn't really worth the money but it's a once in a lifetime thing so yeah. heh. =)

3rd Jan: $10 buffet Seoul Garden-style...

after Sentosa went to somewhere around Marina South that area there I think, and had FOOD. haha...it's like this steamboat thing, then you just cook your meats on the sides, and there's the soup in the middle. I didn't cook anything, I just sat there and ate. heh. thanks Kev! =P and we had live prawns too...I did the job of peeling, quite gladly I must say. heh. it was good!

4th Jan: lunch with Darice!

following that, went to Wisma Atria's Food Republic at Orchard Road to meet Darice for lunch. we had Thai food. yummy! =) we ordered pineapple rice and prawn with fried vermicilli. it was soooo good. and dessert was tapioca...wow. that was nice. it must be the coconut cream. heh. and after that Darice got me my birthday present! my lovely cross necklace and cross earrings...THANK YOU DARICE!!!

4th Jan: dinner with Rach and Bel at Kuishin-Bo...

then at night, went for dinner with my 2 pals from NZ. =) I actually got a shock when I heard how much the meal was going to cost me. heh. wasn't expecting the price...I think cos I've never eaten at such an expensive place on my own and had to pay...ah well. the company was worth it. esp cos after that we went to play arcade. haha...the Jap food was ok lah. was so full after that. heh. THANK YOU GIRLS for the night!

6th Jan: CHC W115 at S'pore Expo Hall 8...
(missing some people yet again)

my last service at S'pore Expo before I left...I'm going to miss them, these pple who've made my time back in S'pore count. THANK YOU once again for accepting me into the family even for this short period of time. you guys take care and keep growing k? hmm...

ok, so I took about 3 hours to get this post up, but I did. =) so much for the protests (?!?) and fires (?!?!?) that have been happening on my tagboard. haha...it's really really amusing. =) I will miss you guys...hmm...

anyway, on to more well...'serious' stuff. tonight's my last night in S'pore. technically, it's already in the morning. it's like past 4am. hmm...what I thought would be an uneventful trip back, well it's turned out to be more than I asked for. is it good or bad? I can't say...hmm...

it's time to go back to NZ... I don't think I'll be able to do the cherry-picking job or anything of that sort anymore. it hasn't been quite a good summer so there's not much work. which means I might have to look for temp jobs, and if I don't...that means I'm going to slack away my time. then what's the point in going back so early? *thinks hard...but can't come up with a reasonable answer* oh well.
