case scenario.

ok, so it went like this:

I asked classmate A yesterday if they wanted to work on a case to write up together, because 2 students were allowed to share 1 patient. maybe I heard the reply wrongly or what, because when I asked them again this morning at tutorial, they said "oh, I think classmate B and me are using the same patient".

what the...

then I saw classmate C in the stairwell later on, and I asked them if they managed to get their patient already? and they said, "yup, and I'm going together with classmate D to talk to the patient later".

why like that...

so that left me with MYSELF to go and get an orthopaedic case to write up.

but guess what?

I went home instead.

was upset, for a legitimate reason I suppose. don't particularly like working on things myself when you can work together in a group.

but this incident made me feel really upset; rejected. I don't think they meant it on purpose but it just made me feel how little I meant to them. how insignificant I was. so small, even if I wasn't there it wouldn't make a difference.

isn't that a possible feeling in a situation like that?

and no, I'm not badmouthing my classmates.

worst thing was that this morning I woke up having had a dream.

I dreamt that classmate A asked classmate B to work together on a patient to write up for their orthopaedic long case.
