somehow I have a sinking feeling
that this isn't going to work out
deep down inside I know there wasn't anything
and there never will be
it was just a brief wind passing through
ruffled my feathers a bit
but it is not for me to stop the wind
it's not mine to keep
in order not to get my hopes up
here's a reality check
I will pursue this no more
time to leave the crossroads of my mind
