no it wasn't silent in the park
it was restless and noisy
sirens going off in the distance
the hum of bicycle wheels
no the sky wasn't dark
it was filled with patches of colour
orange, amber, grey
lighting up the cloudy skies
no it didn't look clear ahead
it was filled with a haze
a mist? fog? drizzle?
the blurriness clouded my vision
just another day...
she was pretty, with a girl-next-door look that made one want to be her friend. although she wasn't the smartest of the lot, she worked hard. and she was playful and fun to be around. her personality was the type that caught the eye of many.
she was in modest terms, pleasant-looking. it always seemed like she was friendly to most, but she knew that she was and never would be a social butterfly. she admired her for who she was, yet she knew that she'd never be like her. and it made her sad.
she always tried to be nice around her. she truly did and meant everything she said and did. but somehow there was always the feeling that envied her. she cringed inside every time she heard how she got along so well with others.
and she wondered if someday she would too, catch the eye of one...
