the wind was quite strong today, at least it was warm! it's 19 degrees outside at the moment...and it's been nice and comfy weather for t-shirt and shorts to be worn. glad that my laundry dried quickly too. only thing is that the Internet connection has been very unstable due to the wind. kinda annoying.
hmm. didn't get much work done at all. 94 words of the intro for my Ethics essay, does that count? watched Blades of Glory this afternoon, then 10,000 BC tonight. the former was just funny and crazy, the latter was such a good show. actually started a few mins of Sweeney Todd before stopping it cos it was weird and the storyline made me lose my appetite (we were going to watch it while having lunch. ugh).
anyway, just something to think about:
have you realised that humans are one of the species in which the females are the ones who have to attract the males? how women have to look good (ie. dress up, put on nice make-up, have good manners and etiquette, etc) in order to be attractive to men?
take birds for example, peacocks - the males are the ones with the pretty feathers, birds/ducks - the males are the ones with the more colourful plumage/songs/courtship routines. it's the males who have to impress. maybe in other species the female counterpart has to look good too? can you give me some examples?
it makes me wonder though, if I induced correctly from this, that I need to look good in order to find a suitable mate? guess more than just looks, it's about character and personality. but outward looks give the first impression. sometimes I just can't be bothered...but...then I'll be single forever? =S
