mini-elective.

didn't get neonatal paeds after all. kinda sad. but oh well.

am doing paeds instead (again), and we're supposed to do what a TI does. only thing is that...the team I'm attached to has only 1 patient left. and their next day on call is thursday. which could mean that I'm not really doing/learning much.

bleah.

something that I found quite interesting today was that I met the baby I watched the delivery of the other day when I was on call at night. a few days after she went home, she had some "funny turns" and was brought into the hospital, but they couldn't find what was wrong with her even after doing many tests.

they call this: "continuity of care".

was quite an experience being part of the team, even if only for that few mins.

and I got to examine a 5-month-old baby too. she smiled back when I smiled at her. yeah.

don't know what I'm really wanting to acheive this week. not much motivation to want to be enthusiastic. but don't want to seem like such a slacker either. argh.
